Commander Wars iPad Application Review
If you've played Advance Wars or DoR before, you'll be glad to know that the same mechanics apply to Commander Wars. The game's grand campaign features 16 unit types and a play by e-mail system that adds new challenges and near limitless replayability. Now, you can enjoy Commander Wars on your iPad. Its great gameplay carries over to the iOS version, and you can play with your friends in multiplayer mode on both platforms.
There are plenty of things to do in the game, including building up a base, recruiting an unstoppable force, and challenging other players. The graphics and gameplay are impressive, and the game is easy to pick up. There are a few drawbacks, though. The game isn't completely free from glitches and typos. But, for a low price, it's a great way to spend a few hours online.
First of all, it's important to remember to stay away from head-to-head battles. In most cases, the enemy is better at shooting lasers. That's why it's safer to avoid them and save your lasers for a more powerful enemy wing leader. This will prevent you from wasting laser energy in battle, which can lead to disaster later on. During battles, you should be ready to use your weapons and shields if you want to make the most of your available resources.
The game's graphics and sound are excellent. The nebulas and asteroids are beautifully rendered in ice blue and the enemy warships are modeled and scaled with uncanny accuracy. Even the smallest details, like a ship's exhaust port, are rendered beautifully. In addition, space battles are fast and deadly, and you can even feel that you're battling against an intelligent foe.
